The Roosevelt Stables in Pine Mountain, GA are just the taste of old-fashioned horseback riding you need. The Stables are located just three miles from Callaway. Roosevelt Stables' many trails wind their way through the F.D. Roosevelt State Park, right through beautiful Pine Mountain. There are a number of different excursions to choose from. Beginners are more than welcome here at Roosevelt Stables. If you are looking for an afternoon of fun, try the one-hour Creek Trail ride, which follows a creek along the base of the mountain. Maybe the Overlook Trail ride, which lasts about two hours and takes riders to the top of Pine Mountain to view the lake and valley below, is more of what you are looking for. You can try our new Mountain Lake Trail that goes around beautiful Lake Franklin. This trail provides the most opportunity to see our wildlife in the park. Bring your sense of direction if you choose to ride the Cowboy Trail, which ventures all over the mountain and away from the standard trails. Saddle up and choose your own trail to blaze!
